Emergency Surgeries
Urgent cases are seen at the Great Pulteney Street Surgery each weekday. These appointments can only be booked on the same day to ensure that ONLY URGENT cases can be seen.
If you need urgent advice outside of normal surgery hours or at weekends, telephone the NHS 111 service. You will then be directed to the most appropriate person to deal with your problem, either a doctor or nurse.
If the doctor thinks you need to be seen, you will be invited to attend at the clinic at the Riverside Health Centre, unless your medical condition prevents you from leaving home in which case the doctor will make a visit. Visiting is extremely time consuming so please try to attend the clinic whenever possible.
Alternatively, if you require attention for minor ailments or injuries, or for emergency contraception, you can visit the NHS Walk-in Centre at the Riverside Health Centre. If you simply want medical advice, telephone NHSDirect on 08454647.
NB: A pharmacy will always be open in Bath on Sundays and Bank Holidays between 11:00am to 12:00pm and 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
Patients who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impared can contact the NHS111 or NHSDirect service by using their Textphone, dialling 18001 111.
